National Flag Day

The 15-day celebration for the National Flag Days starts today, 28th of May, 2019 and will end on June 12th.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) enjoined all government offices, business establishments, schools and other institutions and private homes to display the Philippine flag during these days.


The declaration of the 15-day National Flag Days is stipulated in Republic Act 8491 or the “Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines” and House Bill 5224 which were approved by Congress.

Meanwhile, the Department of Education thru Secretary Briones assures that the department will continue its effort to instill Nationalism and Patriotism amongst young Filipino generation and she enjoins all schools to display the Philippine Flag in the respective classrooms, offices and residences of all teaching and non-teaching personnel.
